Woman Like No Other
She had a heart as big as her personality and a love for her family that knew no limits.
Our mother was truly a woman like no other. She was the strongest woman we ever knew, fiercely protective, strong-willed, outspoken, and never afraid to stand up for what she believed was right. She had a heart as big as her personality and a love for her family that knew no limits.
She met the love of her life, Howard McIntyre, when they were just teenagers. What began as young love grew into an extraordinary marriage of 60 years. Together, they faced life's many challenges with perseverance, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Through the good times and the difficult ones, they continued to stand together, building a lifetime of memories and a beautiful family.
Her greatest accomplishment and life's work were her five children, Howard, Dawn, Kimberly, Brian, and the late James. Becoming a mother as a teenager, she devoted her life to raising her family. She was our biggest supporter, our fiercest defender, and the one person who never stopped believing in us. Her sacrifices were endless, and her love was unconditional.
As Mom-Mom, she was just as fiercely protective, but with a little extra sugar on top. She was endlessly loving and giving, and her heart only grew bigger as her family expanded to include 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She had a special way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. Moments with Mom-Mom became stories of a lifetime.
Her greatest accomplishment and life's work were her five children, Howard, Dawn, Kimberly, Brian, and the late James.
She was brutally honest, wonderfully funny, and unapologetically herself. If she had something to say, she said it, and if she didn't like you, she would tell you herself! Yet beneath that tough exterior was the most compassionate, gentle, and generous heart.
No matter what life put in front of her, she just kept pushing forward. She faced every challenge with incredible strength and determination, never giving up on the people she loved.
Her greatest legacy is not measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the love she poured into her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though her journey has come to an end, her strength, laughter, unforgettable spirit, and generous love will live on. They will remain in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations to come.
Her greatest legacy is not measured by possessions or accomplishments, but by the love she poured into her family.
She was one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Jeanette (nee Irwin) Corbin and her brother Roger.
