Myrna's warm and generous spirit touched all who knew her.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myrna M. Kelley, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, who departed this life on September 30, 2026, at the age of 89.
Myrna's warm and generous spirit touched all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John "Jack" Kelley, and was the cherished mother of John Kelley (Debbie), Michael Kelley (Juan), and Jamie Torna (Paul). Myrna will be dearly remembered as a loving grandmother to Megan Oleckna (Will), Kirsten Morling (Todd), Christopher Kelley, Grace Torna, and Michael Torna, as well as a proud great-grandmother to William, Lilly, and James. Myrna is also survived by her brother, Dr. Anthony Giordano (late Linda).
Myrna was predeceased by her parents, James and Matilda (Villani) Giordano, and her son-in-law Eric Rigenhagen. Myrna's sense of humor and her quick wit brought joy to her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter.Myrna was, above all, devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was simply having the people she loved together-around a dinner table, on the beach in Cape Cod, celebrating a holiday, or gathered for one of the many dinners and parties she loved to host. A librarian and lifelong lover of books and history, she was curious, opinionated, funny, and fiercely strong. She loved to cook, travel, entertain, share a good meal and a good cocktail, and she never lost her desire to be part of the action. She treasured her friends and relatives, adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had a wonderful way of making those who joined the family feel that they truly belonged.
Myrna's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever be inspired by her strong spirit, humor, and unwavering unconditional love.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Myrna's life. Opportunity for visitation with family will take place at Holy Family Church in Manayunk - 234 Hermitage Street on October 5, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
