Michael Francis Deal, age 64, of Las Vegas, a retired police officer, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 in Las Vegas. Born December 2, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Las Vegas for the past four years. Mr. Deal retired from the Philadelphia Police Department as Lieutenant in 2015 after 37 years of service. Dedicated to the community he served, he was a true family man and assured all would be cared for. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and loved all Philadelphia sports, including the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Donna (nee Hurley); sons Matthew (Heidi Chun) Deal and Corey (fiancée Nicole Wartenberg); brothers Charles and Mark Deal. A Memorial Tribute will be held at 12pm on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada, where family will receive friends one hour prior. A second Memorial Tribute will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 19 at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where family will receive friends from 10-11am.
