It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Irene Oswald, on July 8, 2026, She was a beloved Mother, MomMom, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, friend and Neighbor, who leaves a legacy of love and devotion that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Marie was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in nurturing her family and creating a loving home. She was the wife of the late Albert Oswald and the proud mother to Albert Jr. (Colleen), Maria Tharan, and Catherine Zajko (Joseph). Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family, and she gracefully embraced the role of devoted grandmother to Caitlin, Alexander, Eamon, Kerri, Ryan, Michael, Julia, and Alexandra. Her love extended even further as she became a great-grandmother to Easton, Wyatt, Reid, and Sylus.

Marie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Irene (nee Sharik) Andros, and her brother Joseph. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the strong bonds she formed with her loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marie's life and legacy. A public viewing will take place at St. John the Baptist Church in Manayunk on July 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

As we gather in remembrance, we will reflect on the moments shared and the love that Marie brought into our lives. She will forever remain in our hearts.
