Lorraine Doggett, age 93, passed away on May 17, 2021 in hospice care at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Warminster, Pa. She was born on March 25, 1928 in Belmont Hills, Pa to the late Harry and Mary (nee Turtle) Farrer. Lorraine grew up in Belmont Hills and graduated from Lower Merion High School. After high school, her first job was packing bullets and folding tents. She went on tho work in various positions until retirement in 1972.

Lorraine married Riley R. Doggett, Jr. from Dallas, Texas in 1947, whom she met while he was stationed at the Philadelphia Navy Shipyard post war. From the day she met him, he was then only known as "Tex". Tex died at age 73 in 2000.

She is survived by her brother, William Farrer, 85; daughter, Susan and son-in-law, John Pulkowski; grandsons, Scott and Jeff.

Lorraine enjoyed many crafts over the years, never being afraid to try something new, or to add something new to her garden. Everyone loved the jokes she shared with her unique sense of humor. She was active in the Women's Civic Group of Belmont Hills, planning events and group outings.

Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing on Friday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. John. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is in Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of St. John, 404 Levering Mill Road, Bala Cynwyd, Pa 19004 for their many charitable works.
