Gertrude Delois Johnson, 73, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2020.  Born in Kittrell North Carolina, she moved to the Philadelphia area as a child, graduated from Roxborough High School and lived in the Roxborough area for most of her life. She worked as a secretary first at Josie D Heard AME Church, and later at Interact of Philadelphia.  She was sister of the late Hazel Alvida Brown, and survived by her brother Samuel Johnson, as well as extended family, including Zach Brown and Iceis Gutierrez whom she raised and lived with for many years.  Delois was a woman of deep faith, a natural teacher, and delighted in gardening.  A service in her memory will be held at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA  at 10 am on August 22nd.
