Gerardo Anthony Papiro, 92, residing in Lafayette Hill, passed peacefully on August 16, 2022. Jerry was born in Manayunk. He married the love of his life, Jean (Taylor) on August 30, 1952. 70 years of marriage creating a legacy of 3 children: The late Jerry Jr. (Lynn Ashenfelter), Donna Templin (Dick) (the late Dave Hoult), and Kathie Fean (the late John, JB), 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Jerry was an Army veteran who was in the Korean War as a radar operator. he also supported his community through the Kiwanis Organization serving as Lieutenant Governor for a period. Jerry's professional career as a General Contractor whose creative mastery can be seen all around Roxborough and Manayunk and set a wonderful example for his grandchildren. Jerry lived a beautiful life and loved fixing any problem that came up without even leaving his recliner. Services will be on Saturday, August 20 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church located at 815 E.
