Obituary

George Warren Booz, Jr. (November 13, 1924 – April 2, 2020) passed away in Broomall, PA.  He was known as Warren by his family and friends.  Warren is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Jessie Booz (nee Chase), his daughters Lynne Hershey (Michael), Deb Shiles (Connie Rossi), and sons Dr. George W. Booz and Don Booz (Julieta), his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Warren was born and raised in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA.  He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from 1943 - 1946.   In 1949 he married his love of his life Jessie.  Warren earned an Electrical Engineering Degree from Drexel University while working for Leeds and Northrup and raising his four children.  In 1962 he achieved the American dream - moving his young family to the Philadelphia suburb of Warminster, PA.  There he raised his children, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, researching family genealogy, traveling and rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies.  Warren retired from Leeds and Northrup in 1990 to continue with all his hobbies and enjoy time with Jessie and his family.

Warren was known to his family and friends as a wonderful loving husband, father, and caring man.

Services and interment are private In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Warren's memory to Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), 2700 Horizon Dr Suite 120, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
