Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Parkinson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on January 3, 2025, at the age of 77.

Gail was the cherished wife of the late Robert Parkinson and a devoted mother to her two children, Robert Jr. (Connie Miller) and Michele Armstrong (Greg). She was a proud grandmother to Steven (Rahdika), Megan (Damani), Eric, and Jared Armstrong, who brought immense joy to her life. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Frances Tettemer, her siblings, Michael and Mary and her sister in law, Joanne. She is survived by her loving siblings Judith, Thomas (Sharon), and Suzanne, as well as her sister-in-law Linda Parkinson and an extensive network of family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Gail had a zest for life that was infectious. She found joy in traveling, particularly her trips to New Orleans, where she enjoyed the lively jazz scene and built friendships with many talented musicians. Her love for games led to countless evenings sharing laughs over a game of dominoes. A true crime show enthusiast and a passionate reader, Gail also loved relaxing with her Dunkin' iced tea in hand and spending treasured moments at the beach.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Gail's life. A public viewing will be held at Koller Funeral Home on January 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. We invite all whose lives were touched by Gail to join us in honoring her memory, sharing stories, and celebrating the love she so generously gave to those around her.

Gail will be forever remembered for her caring spirit, her dedication to family, and her ability to find joy in every moment. She will be dearly missed but will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
