Obituary

Gail Kohlbach Hoffman, 66, passed away peacefully in Abington Hospital at 10:48 pm on January 28, 2022 after battling with Stage 4 Liver Cancer. She passed in peace with her husband Bruce and daughter Amber by her side. Gail was born on February 6, 1955 in Hackensack, NJ, the daughter of Frederick Albert Kohlbach (deceased) and Dr. Judith Kohlbach Fulton.

Gail had bravely battled for the past few months and was cheerful and optimistic till the very end.

Gail was educated in the Newton NJ, Sussex County public school systems from K-12 then went on to obtain her Bachelors of Education degree from Kutztown University.

Gail enjoyed a full life. She was a Girl Scout beginning as a Brownie and progressing through the ranks. During her college summer vacations she was a counselor at summer camps and Pennsylvania she became a Leader with troop (9)1546 for more than 30 years. Gail played the Alto Clarinet with The Merion Concert Band for 20 years or more.  The Merion Concert Band is a regular performer for the Gorgas Park Concert series. She was a member of Zonta International, a worldwide professional women's organization that advocates against the abuse and violence of women and girls worldwide.

Gail enjoyed travel and visited several countries while participating in the Zonta International conventions. She also loved train travel.  She and her husband Bruce made several cross-country trips on Amtrak. She enjoyed sharing her vacation adventures with her grandchildren.

Gail worked in the banking industry starting at GSB on Belmont Avenue then finished her career in the wire transfer department at Firstrust Bank.    For more than 43 years Gail has been an active member at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 620 East Welsh Rd, Horsham, PA 19044. She has served many terms on Church Council, assisted as a Sunday School Teacher, and served in various other roles.

Gail is survived by her husband Bruce Francis Hoffman; daughters Heather Hoffman Miller and her husband Greg Miller of Milton, PA; and Amber Hoffman Ebinger and her husband Chris Ebinger of Hatfield, PA; five grandchildren, Joseph Lynn Martin, Gary Wayne Martin, Ruth Elizabeth Miller, Ruby Gail Ebinger, Emerald Louise Ebinger; her mother, Dr Judith Kohlbach Fulton of Newton NJ & Redlands, CA; and her brother Gary Albert Kohlbach, Webster, NY.  She was predeceased by her father Frederick Albert Kohlbach, Newton, NJ, and her brother Gregory Frederick Kohlbach, Chapel Hill, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday February 6, 2022, at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm.

A Memorial Service will be held the following day, Monday February 7, 2022, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 620 East Welsh Road, Horsham, PA 19044. Visitation will begin at 10am with Memorial Service starting at 11:00am.
