Frances (Vance) Bucci, August 26, 2020, age 101 of Plymouth Meeting, Pa, wife of the late Frank Bucci, loving mother of Joseph, Frank (Maryellen) and the late Barbara Amici. Proud "Nanny" of 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Edith), Patsy "Pat" (Vera) and Augustine (Theresa).
Frances (formally of Roxborough) was a resident of Normandy Farms where she enjoyed the many friendships that she made with both the residents and staff. Frances worked as a teller for various banks in the area before she retired in 1990. She was an avid gardener, seamstress, and baker. She baked cakes for most of the family weddings, birthdays and christenings. Frances was known by her family and friends as the "Energizer Bunny." She left behind a 101-year legacy of love and kindness.
Frances was a deeply religious person who was blessed to have a private audience with Pope Paul VI in 1970. She was a long-standing parishioner of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church where she attended daily mass and always sat in the same pew in the front of church.
A Funeral Mass, celebrated by her nephew, Reverend Monsignor Charles Vance, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st, at 11:00 am at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Please wear masks and abide by social distancing regulations. Mass will be lived streamed on the St. Philip Neri Church website. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philip Neri Church.
