Dolores Teresa Lenox (nee Basara) Age 91, of Manayunk, passed away on May 8, 2021 at Sunrise assisted Living in Lafayette Hill Pa.
Dolores was born in Philadelphia on May 10, 1930 to the late Roman Basara and the late Aniela Basara.
Beloved wife of the late David E Lenox, loving mother to David R (the late Eileen), the late Dolores Taylor (Walt), Michael (Jacqueline), Mark (Kathy). Beloved Grandmother to Gina (Michael), Megan, Lawrence (Lauren), Michael A (Melissa), David J. (Rebecca), the late Laura, Jessica (Scott), Becky (Blake), Melissa (Edward), Bruce and Carly. She was great grandmother to 16 great grandchildren and beloved by many caring nieces and nephews who often visited and she enjoyed the time they spent with her.
Dolores loved to cook for her family and friends and a smile beamed when surrounded by loved ones. She loved her unofficial Women's Club that met regularly for 40 years. Now that the group is all together again they'll restart the club and play pinochle once again with loved ones who preceded her.
Dolores worked in Quality Control for both Mrs. Paul's and Campbell's Soups for over 35 years. After retirement she continued to work with infants and children at local day care centers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 719 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment is in Westminster Cemetery.
