Christine Stead (Miller) passed away on her birthday, Sunday August 1st at the age of 68 at Crozer Chester Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her daughters, Chrystine Glassey (Wayne), Dara Schneider (George) and Christine is also survived by her two grandchildren, Justin and Ava Schneider.

She was the daughter of William and Anna Miller, the oldest of eight children, two brothers and five sisters and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Christine was born and raised in Roxborough and though she lived in many parts of Philadelphia she always came back to Roxborough. She was a stay-at-home mother and had many hobbies. She was a very talented artist in many different areas, from painting large wall murals, writing childrens books, to making different clothes and costumes for her children over the years. She had a green thumb as well and enjoyed keeping her spring and summer gardens while tending to her multiple indoor house plants.

Christine will be honored at the Koller Funeral Home on Thursday August 12th at 11:00am. This will be followed by a private luncheon for close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Christine's name to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)
