Brian built a life defined by love, devotion, and service to others.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian K. McCabe, affectionately known as "Tab," "Spark," and "Big Daddy," who left this world suddenly on September 17, 2026. Born on March 8, 1967, in Philadelphia, PA, Brian resided in East Norriton, PA, where he built a life defined by love, devotion, and service to others.
Brian was a cherished husband to his beloved wife, Joann "Josie" McCabe (nee Turella), with whom he shared a profound bond. He was a proud father to his two sons, Joshua and Kyle, and was delighted to welcome his future daughter-in-law, Grace Lerario, into the family. The strength of his familial relationships shone through in everything he did. Brian is survived by his mother, Kathleen "Kitty" McCabe (nee Baffa), and his sisters, Diane Torres (nee McCabe) (Cesar) and Barbara Celli (nee Bennett) along with a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Preceding Brian in death were his father, Vincent Taraborrelli, and his brothers, Thomas McCabe and John (Jack) Taraborrelli. Brian was a man whose heart knew no bounds; he dedicated himself to the well-being of those around him, always ensuring that Josie and his boys were cared for and happy. He had a unique gift for bringing people together around a table filled with his culinary delights, and he cherished every moment spent surrounded by family and friends cheering on their favorite sports teams. An avid animal lover, his faithful companion, Rollo, exemplified the love and warmth he offered to all creatures.
Friends and family are invited to a Visitation on Friday, September 25, 2026 beginning at 10 AM at Holy Family Church in Manayunk. A Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM. All who knew and loved Brian are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his remarkable life.
Brian was a man whose heart knew no bounds; he dedicated himself to the well-being of those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Brian's memory to the Pennsylvania SPCA, honoring his love for animals and his enduring legacy of compassion.
Brian will be remembered for his kindness, love, and unwavering spirit. May he rest in eternal peace.
