Beverly J.
(Hanson) Lowery
Aug 5, 1939 — Jan 6, 2017
Beverly J. Lowery (nee Hanson) of Roxborough, died January 6, 2017 at age 77. Beverly was a wonderful loving, giving and caring person. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, always bringing a smile wherever she went. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching her grandchildren play baseball with Conshohocken Little League and Audubon Recreation Association. She continued to enjoy watching them play football and baseball through high school and college. She also supported her granddaughter, who participates in the Special Olympics Bowling at Facenda Whitaker Lanes.
Some of her greatest times were those spent, from sunrise to sunset, on the beach in Avalon with family and friends. She also loved reading and making her special birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working at the Masonic Village, where she worked for over 20 years, and made many new friends there. She was warm and welcoming to everyone she met. She would say, "There were no strangers, only friends we haven't met yet." And, at the end, it was her everlasting faith in the Lord that when, it was her time, that God would take care of her.
Beverly is the wife of the late Edward; mother of Dawn Welsh (James), Edward Lowery (Susan) and Jennifer Powers; grandmother of Jenna Powers, Eddie Lowery, Brad Lowery, Leo Powers and Kyle Lowery. She is also survived by her lifelong friend since youth group at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Herbert J. Snyder.
