Barbara Shaw succumbed to her battle with cancer at her home in Roxborough on October 8th.

Barbara was born on March 3, 1940, to Charles and Marion Welsh. Barbara was the middle daughter of three and survived by her older sister Marion and younger sister Sally. She was married to Robert Shaw for 54 years and a loving mother to their two children Robert and Christine. She was adored as "Mum Mum" by her four grandchildren Joshua, Katelyn, Noah, and Miles.

Barbara will be remembered for her lifelong passion for working with children. As a Sunday School teacher, Girl Scout leader, and co-owner of Wee Care ChildCare facility, in which she was still very active in running. Her love of family & caring heart will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to an outdoor service at the cemetery on Friday October 16th, at 11 am at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting.
