Anthony
Boyce
Dec 16, 1955 — Apr 2, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce that Blue Bell, PA resident Anthony Boyce died suddenly at his home on April 2, 2020 at the age of 64.
Anthony was born on December 16, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, to Anthony I. and Gertrude (Dougherty) Boyce. He was the oldest of five siblings. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1973, Temple University in 1977, and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (now called the University of the Sciences) in 1981 where he was a member of the Kappa Psi Eta pharmacy fraternity. Anthony worked for most of his life as a Registered Pharmacist, most recently for PharmPro. He was especially loved by the people he worked with at Health Center 10 and Mayfair Pharmacy.
Anthony was a proud and supportive husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He had a big heart and cared most about ensuring his daughters and others were well taken care of. Anthony had a bawdy sense of humor and an infectious, jolly laugh; he delighted in making his daughters squirm uneasily at is inappropriate jokes.
Anthony loved attending classic rock music concerts, spending time with old friends and family, and vacationing in Disney World where he loved taking in a show, riding Soarin', and meeting characters (his favorite was Pooh). On Sundays he could often be found cheering for the Phillies among scattered peanut shells in his favorite section of Citizen's Bank Park or on his couch, screaming at the TV for the Eagles. He also loved swimming in the ocean even though he often neglected to apply sunscreen (to the chagrin of his wife and daughters).
At the time of his death, Anthony was looking forward to retiring with his wife Angela to their house in Florida where he planned to pass his days relaxing by the pool with a cup of coffee and the news and impersonating Santa Claus, whom he resembled.
He is survived by Angela, his wife of 37 years; daughters Jacalyn Boyce and Stephanie Young; son-in-law Robert Young; grandchildren Annabelle and Oliver Young; several vitrified embryos; and siblings Trudy Rauscher, Christopher Boyce, and Kathy Procknow.
He was predeceased by his parents and his younger brother Michael Boyce.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, a memorial service will be announced for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Anthony's memory to the American Red Cross at https://www.redcross.org/donate/memorial-donations.html/ or PO Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037-0839.
