It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne Marie "Annie" Campanella, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on October 2, 2026, at the age of 63. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 4, 1963, Annie devoted her life to her family and loved ones, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be remembered.
Annie was the beloved wife of Guy Campanella for 37 wonderful years. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond and a deep love that inspired all who knew them. She was a devoted mother to her four children: Annette Angelo (Mark), Alaina Venezia (Charles), Guy Campanella Jr. (Brianna), and Andrea Lamberto (Mario). Annie's role as "Mom Mom" brought her immense joy as she delighted in the company of her grandchildren: Anthony, Mark, Joseph, Madelyn, Luciana, Sofia, Olivia, and eagerly awaited the arrival of baby Angelo.
Annie was the dear sister to Lisa Wilson (John), Leonard DiWilliams (Michelle), Philip DiWilliams, Jr. (Joy), Carol Lawrence (John), Joseph DiWilliams (Tori), and Diane Travaline (Michael). She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and her sister-in-law, Susan Campanella-Burke (Joseph). Annie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Philip and Carol (nee Bovino) DiWilliams.
Throughout her life, Annie was known for her generous spirit, warm hospitality, and her ability to bring people together. She had a love for hosting family gatherings, especially the Feast of the Seven Fishes tradition on Christmas Eve at her home, where laughter and warmth filled the air. She took great joy in cooking delicious meals, which they would eat together every night, especially Sunday dinner. Annie also had a special fondness for the shore, spending treasured moments each year in Ocean City, NJ. A devoted Phillies fan, she rarely missed a game and proudly shared her passion for the team with her loved ones.
Annie's love and care knew no bounds as she always placed the needs of others before her own. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held on October 9, 2026. A Visitation will take place at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass celebrating her life at 11:00 AM. We invite all family and friends to join in honoring Annie's remarkable life and the love she so freely shared.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Annie's kindness, her unwavering warmth, and the light she brought into our lives. May her memory be a blessing to us all.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Storm the Heavens, which funds research and supports prayer and awareness for DIPG, a pediatric brain cancer with no known cure. Annie has always had a special place in her heart for children diagnosed with this terrible illness.
