Stumpo
Apr 15, 1954 — Jul 25, 2026
Alfred Francis Stumpo, 72, of Belmont Hills, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2026.
Alfred known to many as Al, was a lifelong resident of Belmont Hills. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and carried that same dedication, strength, and commitment throughout his life.
Al was an incredibly talented stone mason and the proud owner of Stumpo Masonry. His craftsmanship, hard work, and attention to detail were reflected in the many projects he created thoughout his career. The work of his hands will stand as a lasting reminder of the talent and passion he brought to his trade.
Above all, Al was a devoted husband and loving father. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Susan (nee Bechtel), and their son, AJ, who were the center of his world. He will be remembered for his strength, determination, love of family, and the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
Al is survived by his siblings: Dolores Forte (the late Vince Slanga), Janet Colucci (the late Ralph), Ned (Carol), Sandy , and Steven (Anna), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elsie Stumpo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation www.t2t.org.
Al's memory will live on through the family he loved, the work of his hands, and the many lives he touched throughout his 72 years.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
