Albert Augustine Sr., age 88, of Belmont Hills, PA passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on June 3, 2021.

He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years Carmela (nee Bianchi), his adoring children, Maria Toole (Brian), Albert Jr (Lois), Rosolia Smith (Raymond),  as well as his four cherished grandchildren, Joseph Toole (Bryn), Amelia Smith, Alexandra Smith, and Angelina Toole and one great grandchild, Ezra Toole.  He is also survived by his brother Alfred Augustine and predeceased by his parents Nicodemo and Maria Carmella, his siblings Frank, Ernest, Arthur, and Theresa.  He was not only loved by his wife and children but had a very special bond with his many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and Dobbs Technical Institute, where he excelled in his studies.  He served in the Signal Corp Division of the US Army, following the Korean War.  He worked at Tasty Baking Company for over 30 years as a pipe fitter.

Until it's closing, Al was an active member of St Justin Martyr Parish where he was a daily Communicant and served as a lector.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 857 where he served as Chaplain.

Al took great pleasure in his gardening and was a self-taught guitar player.  He was known for his quiet, gentle nature, easy laugh, and kind spirit.  Faith, family, and friends were what mattered to him most.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Viewing on Wednesday 7 PM to 9 PM at Koller Funeral Home. On Thursday, Viewing will be at 9:30 AM at St. Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment Westminster Cemetery.
