Albert G. Funk Sr., December 23, 2016, age 99, of Vass Wood Lake, North Carolina, formerly of Roxborough. Al was born in Philadelphia on March 27, 1917 to Hudson and Bertha Funk.  He proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II.  He is the husband of Alexandra von Wrede and the late Betty Funk and the late Mireille Funk; father of Albert Funk Jr. (Kitty), Joyce Regan (Billy) and the late Richard Funk; stepfather of Charlie (Linda) and Donald (Pam) Jones; also survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brother of Morris Funk, Grace Augustine and the late Roy Funk.  Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 11 A.M. followed by Memorial Service Noon at KOLLER FUNERAL HOME, 6835 Ridge Avenue (corner of Livezey), Phila., PA  19128.  Interment Westminster Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al's memory to Vass Lion Club, PO Box 1228, Vass, NC  28394.  Condolences may be shared at www.kollerfuneralhome.com.
