Valentino Cavalieri Obituary

Valentino J. Cavalieri of Philadelphia, passed away surrounded by family on June 5, 2019. He was truly one of a kind. His constant humor and positivity radiated onto everyone. Never bothered by anything, he led a life that would be envied by most. He was rich with happiness.

Val was born to his loving parents Matthew and Mafalda (nee Capuano). He was raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia with his brother Lee, sister Debbie and cousins Robert & Marianne. He learned the building trade from his father and worked closely with him until he moved to New Jersey with his own family. There he started his own company, Cavalieri Builders.

Val loved his work, building many developments and houses in New Jersey. He was especially devoted to his family- Frances, and children Matt and Nina. He loved vacationing at Ocean City, Maryland every summer and watching the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles. However, the simplest of things - being with his family is what he enjoyed most.

Later in life Val became a grandfather. Peyton, Luca, Amelia, and Bella were the light in his eyes. Being in their presence made him the happiest. He loved each of them for the individuals they are.

Val is survived by Frances (nee Powers), brother Lee (Aurora), sister Debbie, and cousin Marianne, his children Nina (John) and Matt (Jenny), as well as his four grandchildren Peyton, Luca, Amelia, and Bella.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 11th at Holy Family Home, 5300 Chester Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19143. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by mass at 11:00 am.
