Ruth C. Routzahn

Ruth Charlotte Routzahn (nee.Pierce) age 96, died peacefully in her sleep January 13, 2019.  Surviving is her sister Jean Bys, son Bud Routzahn, daughters Anita (Rick) Barton and Yvonne Magallon, plus 6 nephews.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Buck and daughter Diane Burg

Ruth has 10 grandchildren, Michael Routzahn, Andy (Sandy) Alexander, Elaine (Brian) Barglik, Emily (Joe) Boccella, Nicole (Gene) Gofman, Melissa (Bill) Shumaker, Jessica Routzahn, Alex (Patti) Magallon, Ryan Magallon and Seth Barton-Roberts

She has 12 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren

Ruth was a crossing guard for 19 years at Levering School in Roxborough, Monastery and the Ridge.  We lovingly call it Mom’s corner.  She loved her children and looked forward to seeing them every day, making sure they were safe and they loved her back which was evident every Christmas when they showered her with gifts, both bought and home made.  Ruth was loved and will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing on Friday, January 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park.
