Virginia E. (Cooper) Tradewell

Virginia E. Tradewell (nee Cooper) of Manatawna Ave., Roxborough, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, passed away August 25, 2017. She was 95.

Daughter of the late Raymond G. Cooper and Cathyrn Cooper (nee Bircher), she was born April 13, 1922, in Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Elmer W. Tradewell, in 2010; and her brother Raymond “Sonny” Cooper in 1978.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Cooper (Catherine) of Houston, TX, and Jerrod Cooper (Geraldine) of Harleysville; her daughter, Barbara A. Lance (Skip) of Roxborough; son William E. Tradewell (Sandra) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Barbara Lance-Freet (Paul) of Plymouth Meeting, Beth Lance (Chris O’Leary) of Roxborough, Sara Tradewell of Atlanta, GA, and Christopher Tradewell (Emiko) of Jersey City, NJ; great-granddaughter Jessica Freet of Plymouth Meeting; Goddaughters Carol Dagney of Marlton, NJ, and Catherine Jew of Houston, TX; and much-loved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, Dr. Doroshow, and especially to Virginia’s caregiver, Renee Tawiah, for their dedication and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10 A.M. followed by Memorial Service 11 A.M. at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave. (corner of Livezey), Phila, PA 19128. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. I
