Sister Joan was always easy to talk to and made you feel like you were the only one in the room. Sister was very special friend of my late father, Lew, when ever they visited, they had a connection, but that was Sister. I heard many stories of her triumphs as a teacher in the Philadelphia area. Sister Joan will be missed.

I had Sister Agnes Thomas for fifth grade, then learned that she had been
"promoted" to sixth grade, Room 24, along with me! I worked the candy concession for Sister, and got all "A's" to boot. She is still my favorite teacher, and I always remember her fondly. RIP Sister Agnes.
