Beth, Ken and Allison wouldn't know me. I was just a kid that worked with Mel at the Summit. But he used to talk about you ALL the time. He would wonder out loud how he got so lucky to have you. I think Allison was only about 4 or 5 at the time. Maybe even younger. Daddy's little girl.

The work was hard and he worked harder than anyone, keeping everyone else laughing with the worst Dad jokes. I'm sure you know them. Whenever the weather would get bad he'd say "do you think the rain will hurt the rhubarb?"

He asked me that question for years. Y E A R S! Then one day, I asked him. I'm sure you know what he said. "Not if it's in cans!"

I just about pee'd my pants and died from hyperventilating. It was about a 4 year set up.

Hat's off you you, Mel! You are loved and you are missed.
