This photograph of Mary Lark ("Larkie" to me 60 years ago) is beautiful. It's been that many years since I've seen her, but this photograph looks just like I remembered her with a wonderful smile! Despite the decades of not being in touch, I was very sad to receive this news. It has reminded me of a fond memory of her. She and Steve and lots of relatives visited the Hamills in Belport, Long Island. I was 5, she would have been 10. A bunch of us were lying on a big bed coloring pictures in coloring books and Larkie was protective of me and whatever it was she did, it felt like she was my ally. I am so sorry that she has passed away.

To the Mermans:
Sincere condolences to the entire Merman family......although we have not been in touch for some time, we will never forget the many laughs and shared adventures we had as neighbors on Jody Drive and many has been the time we have thought of you all. In all the many places we have lived over the years, no one conjurs up the bonds we developed with our neighbors the Mermans, and the Turners.

I was saddened to hear today about Larkie, as I knew her. Larkie and I are first cousins. Although we did not maintain contact regularly in our adult years, I heard with interest about how she was doing from time to time from other relatives. I remember Larkie with fondness and affection as a warm-hearted and bubbly person. In send my love and heartfelt sympathy to all her family.

Thank you for you kind words. God was merciful and took mom quickly after struggling 30 years with emphysema. Blessings to you and your family. Lori

Merman family,
I am so very sorry to learn of Mary's (your mom's) passing.
It breaks my heart. She was such a beautiful and bright person. What a warmth she brought to our neighborhood and all of the families growing up on Jody Drive.
I know you are hurting so much John, Lori, Andy, Michael, Stephen, and everyone else.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to the service. I will keep you all in my prayers and wish you much healing.
Love,
Cindy Turner

Dear “Mermans All”,
Our hearts are so saddened with your loss. We were neighbors for 30 years and friends for over 50. So many nights MARY and I would sit and talk until the wee hours of the morning with coffee and cigarettes ..... not proud of the cigarettes!!! That was in our child raising days🙄
Please accept our deepest condolences on your great loss.
Love,
Jerry and Doris Turner
