Mr. Manno, who went by the nickname of “Lucky,” loved to cook. He also tirelessly researched his family’s history, making a number of trips with family back to Rome and the ancestral town of Agira, Sicily. He spoke fluent Italian and spent much of his life making sure that relatives in Italy and the United States felt loved and always welcome.
Fond of personal computers, Mr. Manno also never stopped seeking new experiences in the larger world, traveling to Glacier National Park last summer. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
