Dear Karen & family, I am just now reading about Bernie's passing. I am sending my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to you & your family. I was friends with Bernie growing up, when he lived on Berkley. I lived on Milne and was also in class with Joan. My grandmother loved Bernie like family. Not sure why, but he popped up in my head last night. I decided to perform a search on him on Google, when I saw & read the news on his passing. WOW! ......I was shocked! Last summer I ran into a few people from Germantown down the shore and was told Bernie frequented the American Legion Post. I was planning on stopping by there in a couple weeks while visiting Philadelphia. I thought I would shock him after losing connection with him due to living away for quite sometime. He was an incredible person and friend. Again, so sorry for your loss and will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Bernie was the best. I worked with him for years and am so saddened to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to the family. His humor and laughter was second to none, and he always brightened the room. I apologize for not making the viewing as I just found out about this evening late. (31st). I'll always remember Bernie as a good friend, o-worker and all around great guy....
